From the point you will see views leading up the Mawddach Estuary leading back down to the mountain views of Fairbourne. This is where the Fairbourne & Barmouth Railway track is situated and was originally laid in 1895, by Mr. Arthur McDougall of McDougall's Flour. The track was originally built to transport building materials for the construction of Fairbourne village. The line stretches 2 miles long and runs between Fairbourne Station and Penrhyn Point which is situated the other side of Barmouth Harbour.
